Designed by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to provide a prospective purchaser with information about the general condition of the property and its construction, any repairs or replacements the property needs, and significant factors which might influence value. It also provides a market value and insurance value. It has condition ratings to let you know which parts of the property require repairs, and whether these are urgent, or can be done in your own time. It is a moderately priced Survey, designed for "normal" houses and flats in apparently habitable condition. This type of Survey is not suitable for very large, unusual, or Listed houses, or those which have been extensively converted, extended or altered.
